Luke Wilson is a pastor’s kid from Wisconsin. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at his bedside
when he was five years old. At the age
of 16, Luke became passionate about leading worship, and learned to sing and
play the guitar. He led his Youth Group in worship until graduation. Luke felt
called into youth ministry after a powerful youth camp speaker challenged
campers to live a life like John the Baptist who declared that “Jesus must
increase, and I must decrease”. Luke was mentored and taught in his Biblical
foundation by great adult servant leaders in the youth group. He decided to go
to Kingswood University, a Christian School in New Brunswick, Canada, with a
youth ministry major. In university, He met the beautiful Emily LaPorte, who
displayed a drive for prayer and outreach ministries. Something very special
happened in Emily’s hometown August 22, 2014. After two years of getting to
know each other, Emily and Luke got married in a revival tabernacle at a Wesleyan
Campground in Mooers, NY. Luke interned at Christ Wesleyan Church in the Spring
of 2015 to finish his Bachelor’s Degree in youth ministry. After Luke
graduated, he was offered a two-year residency position at Christ Wesleyan Church
working with the youth group and Sunday School. After one year of residency, Luke was offered a full time job at New Hope Wesleyan Church as their Youth Pastor, where he currently serves following the call that God has placed on his life. About Me
